Plex.Earth Tools for AutoCAD software incorporate innovative features and functionality to help architects, engineers and designers to boost productivity and increase efficiency by making high resolution satellite/aerial imagery readily available in their design.
Among the unique features Plex.Earth Tools for AutoCAD introduce are:
- Coverage of large areas, in AutoCAD by creating “mosaics” of perfectly positioned color images from Google Earth
- Control of Google Earth camera, by zooming in the site plan specified in AutoCAD
- Creation of placemarks in Google Earth, by selecting a point in AutoCAD
- Creation of points, in AutoCAD, considering terrain altitude, for selected positions in Google Earth
- Manual alignment of color images from Google Earth in cases there is not a coordinate systems specified in the drawings
- Coordinates transformations are provided via our Web Services which currently lists more than 2,000 coordinate systems worldwide.
- Coordinate systems are available even for the basic edition of AutoCAD.
Core of the software is the advanced algorithm which ensures the minimization of time required for the completion of the procedure, even in the most demanding applications. Thus, users are able to save valuable time, money and resources.
Software is running under Windows XP or Windows Vista and supports the following products:
- AutoCAD®, AutoCAD® Civil 3D®, AutoCAD® Map 3D and AutoCAD® Architecture (versions 2007, 2008 or 2009)
- Google Earth 4 and 5
